• Prune roses when buds push
• Add organic matter (Bumper Crop) or compost to improve soil
• Divide late-blooming perennials
• plant trees and shrubs
• Fertilize trees and shrubs
• Prune trees and shrubs, but not late-blooming speciments
• Start seeds indoors
• Plant cool season vegetables like lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower
• Apply Pest fighter Oil (early in April)
• Apply Wooly Hemlock Adelaide oil spray if needed (late in April)
• Prune out any winter damage to evergreens
• Begin spray schedule for fruit trees

Lawns:

• Fertilize turt
• Apply pre-emergent crabgrass control (until April 23)
• Reseed damaged areas of lawn
• Apply grub control if needed
• Apply lime if needed
• Begin to mow
